Process
Freezing berries has a number of advantages over fresh fruit. Since the fruit is frozen at the optimum time, this captures the best possible flavor which also assists with retaining the nutritional benefits of fruit.

Freezing also delivers another important benefit: no added preservatives – no chemicals, sugar or heat treatment, resulting in fruit being consumed in a very natural condition.

Our technologists make sure that the freezing process at the end preserve the quality of fresh fruit with low consumption of energy and efficient flow of product before, during and after the freezing.

In Mondi Lamex, we can freeze over 130 T of fruit per day by flow and static freezers. A short time frame between picking and freezing is a guarantee for high quality of the final IQF product.
